One of the things I’d like to use this section for is to make note of when a local auto dealer has a new model vehicle come in. With that in mind I got the call this afternoon that Planet Kia has this week been in receipt of Westman’s first 2020 Tellurides, Kia’s brand spanking new entry into the larger three row crossover sport utility vehicle class.
At 196.9 inches long and 87 cubic feet in interior space including up to eight seats it’s the largest SUV Kia has ever put forward and is a notable step up from the Sorento in size (187.4 in long, 74 cubic feet, 7 seats inside).
I’m told that Planet Kia got two in total in earlier this week with one being sold, the other being what you see in the picture attached to this post and more en route. MSRP on the EX trim level AWD Telluride is $44,995 with SX and SX Limited versions available on up from there (pictured is the SX). More can be learned from the local dealer, the manufacturer website or through your auto website of choice where reviews-a-plenty have been popping up in recent days.
Kia’s corporate “cousin” Hyundai has their own SUV on the way soon known as the Palisade that will share a platform with the Telluride. Release date on it is said to be this summer with Fowler Hyundai expecting to have available for mid-June.
