The City of Brandon and the Brandon Downtown Development Corporation are taking a closer look at the parking situation in the cityâs core.
As part of that process theyâve been involved in gathering public feedback through an online survey that aims to get a more collective opinion of residents on both parking as it stands right now along with a handful of proposed changes.
Included is an exploration of how often and where you visit downtown and whether the current parking state of affairs effects how you visit. Possible changes noted include the increase or decrease in maximum amount of meter time allowed, installation of an electronic meter system and addition of further angle parking where viable.
The survey, whose deadline had originally passed, has been extended to next Friday, April 19. I hope that folks can spare a few minutes to answer the questions (my answers took less than five minutes). Whether you think downtown is perfect as-is or you feel it needs changes, the more people that take part the better the decision makers can look at topics like these on our behalf!
