Gas price differences between Brandon and our Provincial capital have long been a source of bewilderment amongst local folks.
While there have been examples recently of the tables being turned and prices at times being comparable, the gap appears to be back with a vengeance this morning with one eBrandon member observing a pump price as low as 88.9 in the big city. While it’s the extreme example and there are plenty of 94.9s in Winnipeg that would be 12-13 cents less than the 101.3-101.9 that was common in Brandon. For those scoring at home, over a typical 40L fill that’s a couple generously sized double doubles at your favourite coffee shop.
Sucks? If that’s what you’re thinking I’m having a hard time coming up with a counter point except to be open to explanations of business realities that might contribute. Why the difference? Let us know in the attached discussion thread!
