Just four days remain until what I have zero doubt will be one of the funnest event-slash-fundraisers on the calendar this year.
The Westman Lip Sync in support of the United Way will feature local corporate teams of between four and eight performers going head-to-head in a test of their performing prowess at classic hits. Among the matchups are RBC vs Westoba Credit Union, the Brandon Firefighters vs Prairie Firehouse (pictured) and Party Professionals vs Trident Music. The winner of each matchup will be determined by the total amount of donations they’ve netted over the course of the evening.
For a preview of what you might expect, below is Westoba Credit Union’s $698-raising winning performance from last year’s battle:
New this year for folks in attendance will be a poutine bar, which is included with the price of admission along with a welcome beverage and dessert bar.
It all goes down on Thursday the 16th the Keystone Centre’s MNP Hall. Doors open at 6:30 with the show itself starting at 7:45. A limited amount of additional tickets were released earlier this weekend and can be purchased up until Tuesday the 14th for $30.
