Local RCMP have issued an alert for the public to be on the lookout for a Ford F150 truck that they say is linked to a series of thefts of five separate vehicles since Wednesday.
RCMP say a male/female couple initially stole a Dodge truck in Broadview, Saskatchewan on Wednesday. That truck would eventually be tracked in the Westman area today including Brandon where multiple reports were received of dangerous driving leading to near collisions. A second truck was stolen North East of Brandon with both of those vehicles later being ditched and a GMC Acadia SUV taken on PR 464 North of PTH 353. After further dangerous driving that included excessive speed traveling East in the Westbound lane of the Trans Canada Highway the Acadia would eventually be abandoned near Eden in favour of a Pontiac Grand Prix. The Grand Prix was driven to Riding Mountain where it was ditched for a Ford F-150 by what was reported to be a make accompanied by a female and a male youth.
In total that’s five vehicles alleged to have been stolen over a two day period. It’s that last vehicle, a 2007 Ford F150 XLT Supercab with Manitoba plate HRN 547, that is currently being sought. If seeing it it’s requested that one contact local Police or RCMP immediately
