75 entries and counting for Saturday’s Travellers' Day Parade

Posted by Adam in Local Events, 6/4, 7:03 AM

With Summer Fair week upon us, it’s time once again for the annual Traveller’s Day Parade. A yearly tradition since 1955, this year’s 64th edition of the parade takes place this coming Saturday, June 8 starting at 11am.

A representative of the Parade Association tells me that as of Tuesday evening they were up to 75 registered participants. Among new entries are miniature horses and S-Bar-H Farms. I’m told that with a few days still left to go one can still register as a participant themselves by emailing njoss@wcgwave.ca

The route (see map below) will begin at 6th Street and Rosser Ave, proceeding West toward 13th Street and then turning South down 13th to College Ave. That will be followed by an East turn down College to 10th Street, then a final leg South on 10th to Queens Avenue.
