In pictures: A tour of the underrated gem that is Sandy Lake

Posted by Adam in Travel, 7/8, 7:03 AM

In all of my almost 39 years of living in Westman, not once had I been to Sandy Lake despite having my share of ancestry run through the area that includes the community that had a registered population of 264 in the 2016 census.

That changed with a recent day trip to see what the lake and adjacent town had to offer. Included below are some of the better pictures I came away with of the charming waterfront, beach area and the town itself. This particular trip was a short one that didn’t include the campground or golf course, though have little doubt that I’ll be back in the not too distant future to in particular enjoy the well-cared for beach!
