I’m all for creating new memories, but every once in a while during the holidays a dude gets a little sentimental and enjoys reflecting on years of Brandon’s past.
This will be the tenth Christmas since Brandon’s TV station went dark, but thanks to the depths of Youtube’s archive CKX still has a little to give. In particular for this time of the year it was great to have come to my attention the clip below from a Christmas Eve show in the late 1990s, which kicks off with the Rosser Ward Juggless Band reminding us that its “12,000 Miles from the North Pole to Brandon.” Also on the show is an interview with Brandon-raised Angela Kelman, who along with other members of the country music group Farmer’s Daughter reflect on favourite Christmas memories.
You can watch the 15 minute clip of the first half of the show below:
As a bit of a bonus the same user has shared in three parts a montage of the holiday greeting commercials that became a staple of this time of the year on channel six:

A big thanks to Youtube users like Richard Pope for sharing clips on the site like this that give us a chance to reminisce!
