Just as sure as there’s chatter about the impending opening of Westman’s pumpkin patch, plans have become clearer for the annual appearance of Halloween Alley’s seasonal popup outlet.
Signage has recently shown up in the window of vacant real estate at WestVic Common adjacent to Sobeys indicating a shift to the city’s West end after having most recently operated out of space on 18th street. I understand that the expectation is for opening to be in early September.
Last year saw a location at 1240 18th street that opened in the second week of September. That particular spot is no longer available in lieu of the space being renovated to more better accommodate permanent businesses.
Via its website, the popup chain describes itself as "Canada’s largest independently-owned Halloween retailer, with Halloween stores across Canada, that open every Halloween ". Locations are listed across Western Canada, Ontario and Australia. Another Manitoba store is maintained in Winnipeg that also appears to be in preparations for its seasonal opening. The official street address of the Brandon store will be 3409 Victoria Avenue.
