Whether itâs through photos featured in the media or through browsing local social media, chances are youâve at one time or another come across the work of the wonderfully talented Caley Brown.
With a knack for taking images of the prairie outdoors and our endless wide open Westman skies, one area of specialty for the local photographer has been capturing our often jaw-dropping prairie sunsets⦠photos of which have been among the most popular shares of the summer locally on Instagram and Facebook over late spring and into the summer.
With the long weekend marking the unofficial end to summer I asked Caley if sheâd consider sharing her ten favourite such captures of the season. She was nice enough to do just that, with the best of the season shown below in the order they were taken starting in late May (which is summer as far as this Manitoban is concerned and you arenât talking me out of it :))

It was interesting to learn that a lot of what you just saw was shot with an iPhone as opposed to a traditional digital camera with Brown telling me âThe best camera is the one you have with you.â
The good news for prairie sunset lovers is August might still have a little more to give, with Friday evening's forecast showing at least a bit of sun yet but all bets being off for Saturday.
