As Grand Opening nears, dealership's new digs appear not hard on the lens

Posted by Adam in Driving, 9/17/2019

Since March of last year Brandon’s Precision Toyota has been in the process of constructing a brand new dealership just a handful of feet North of their long-time home on the city’s 18th Street North.

That project reached mere steps from the finish line this week where the dealership quietly on Monday conducted a soft opening in its new home, going as far as welcoming its first service customer at sunrise yesterday while some final loose ends are tied up on the transition to their new space.

With a small handful of i’s to be dotted and t’s crossed on the building’s interior, photographers and the curious have been asked to hold their lenses for a few more days. Totally respectful of that, on a drive back from the Discovery Centre with the evening’s golden hour just setting in I couldn’t resist the chance to try a few captures of the new digs from the outside and I must say the Crane Steel-built building didn’t have to work particularly hard to make me look like I knew what I was doing.

At 29,000 square feet the new dealership is nearly triple the previous 10,000 square feet that Precision operated out of. As the final touches are put on and staff adjust to their new surroundings, focus will shift toward removing half of the old building and making use of the remaining half as a detail centre.

A more formal Grand Opening is planned for the weeks ahead with a chance to see all of the pics one can shake a stick at on the horizon in the not-too-distant future.
