So long to the days of getting a parking ticket, driving to City Hall to pay and perhaps exposing one's self to a situation of getting another one! ;) The City of Brandon shared this afternoon that they are in the process of rolling out an electronic ticketing system that makes life easier on both the ticketee and ticketer in cases of (alleged) traffic by-law violations.
For cases where a ticket issuer assesses to have found someone in violation of parking or traffic by-law rules, said issuer be it a BPS by-law officer or 3rd party parking authority representative will have the ability to document and issue a ticket on-the-fly using a mobile app.
As soon as that ticket has been issued, the person on the receiving end can go to a web address via the city’s website, enter their ticket number and pay the fine or initiate the process of contesting it.
