Signage removed from Boston Pizza’s South Brandon location this week foreshadows what will soon be major updates both inside and out of the popular Richmond Avenue restaurant and sports bar.
According to local franchisee Dean Esler the location will be temporarily closing this coming Monday, September 23 to allow for updates that will include new furniture, lighting and paint throughout. A new sports bar entrance is to be added along with the lounge itself seeing a host of upgrades. Added alongside the lounge will be a new heated patio separate from the existing patio. Thanks to stadium-style patio heaters lounge patrons will enjoy year-round access.
The building’s exterior is to get a makeover of its own via new paint, siding and signage. A full kitchen update is also planned, leaving few aspects of what you see today untouched.
To accommodate the work, the location will temporarily shut down for two weeks beginning Monday.
During the time that doors are closed, folks will still have the opportunity to get their BP fix via the franchise’s North Hill restaurant. The same location will also process deliveries for the whole city over the two weeks.
Boston Pizza’s 1140 Richmond Avenue location opened in 2005 after a relocation from the city’s West end. The franchise added its second Brandon restaurant in 2017 North of the Trans Canada Highway at 2040 Marshall Lane.
After Monday’s closure the refreshed Richmond Boston Pizza is scheduled to re-open on Monday, October 7 at 11am.
