Between September 16 and 22nd, Brandon’s five Tim Hortons locations engaged in their popular Smile Cookie fundraiser in support of charity. This year proceeds from each $1 cookie purchased were to be donated to the A Dollar-a-day Foundation and its efforts to support mental health and additctions programs.
During the time cookies were available you probably saw more than a few of them in hands and mouths throughout the community. Tonight our local Tims put into context just how many that was when they shared that a whopping 17,627 cookies were sold during the week resulting in… you guessed it… $17,627 raised for the charity:

This marked the 17th year for the smile cookie fundraiser, with the 2019 total setting a local record. Last year’s cookie sales went to the local United Way with $14,449 being distributed evenly between the Provincial Exhibition and Helping Hands.
