As Brandon prepares for the very real possibility of a white Halloween, Shoppers Mall has shared details for the return of its popular indoor trick or treating event.
On Thursday starting at 4pm kiddos will have the opportunity to trick or treat at many of the mall’s stores and services, as denoted by a pumpkin poster on display at those participating.
Local mascots will also be in attendance to do what they do best. With the large turnout that comes out every year this is one of the truly special yearly events in the community for families with young kids as far as all of the smiling faces, atmosphere and overall chaos (the fun kind ;) ). Candy quantities are said to be limited, which from my experience means that one will want to arrive as close to that 4pm time as possible.
According to a mall spokesperson, all ages are welcome at the event that typically attracts over 500 kids.
Also on the topic of the Mall and Halloween, one of its stores that will be giving out candy on Thursday is also holding a fun contest that gives folks a chance to share their family’s pumpkin carving:
For those making plans for outdoor activities on Thursday, current Environment Canada forecast does call for improvement from the seasonally-extreme overnight lows and windchill values of recent days. Though its always recommended to check the most recent forecast for best information, as of the time of this post a daytime high of +2 is expected on the day followed by an overnight low of -3 with 60 percent chance of flurries.
