A long-time local auto dealership will soon be under new ownership and a fourth-generation local family automotive business is expanding with news on Friday of the sale of Birchwood Nissan Brandon to Fowler Automotive Group.
According to Rob Fowler of Fowler Automotive Group, ownership of the dealership will be taken in early January following which time a name change to Fowler Nissan Brandon will take place.
Fowler Automotive Group also operates Fowler Hyundai just three blocks West of the Nissan dealership’s location at 3620 Victoria Avenue. Fowler points to local customer-focused ownership as having the opportunity to help both the Nissan and Hyundai brands grow in Brandon
Birchwood Nissan Brandon had previously operated as House of Nissan until its purchase by Winnipeg-based Birchwood Automotive Group in 2016.
Fowler Hyundai became the local dealer for South Korea-headquartered Hyundai Motor Company in 2009, prior to that operating as Fowler Pontiac Buick GMC. The Fowler family will soon celebrate 100 years in the automotive industry, having begun in the business in 1922.
