A long-time Downtown restaurant and pub officially has a new menu to go along with a recently updated look and new name.
The Double Decker Tavern and Restaurant became known as the Guinness Tavern last month following a series of renovations to the interior of its space at 943 Rosser Avenue that began in June. The newly updated establishment is located on the buildingâs main level, a space which is split between a tavern with a capacity for 49 and a separate VIP area with additional capacity for 36. Both sides are available for private bookings and will be used to host various events in addition to being used as a public tavern and restaurant.

The buildingâs upstairs has been renovated as nine apartments. Some small finishing touches remain on the building's exterior and interior.
In development alongside renovations has been a brand new Irish-inspired menu. That menu, introduced in late November, places a focus on fresh items and homemade appetizers with such items as Bangers and Mash and Steak & Mushroom pie. To review the new menu, please see the images below:

Guinness Tavernâs hours are Wednesday through Saturday from 4pm to 12am.
