A local pet resort is going the extra mile for pets and owners in 2020 with the introduction of a “Fetch and Retrieve” service via its new can’t-miss "Tail Waggin."
Via a newly added and decaled-out 7-seater van, The Paw Resort and Wellness Centre is setup to transport pets (with or without owners) to and fro in support of the services they offer. That might include helping folks who are unable to drive for reasons such as health or weather or those whose work or travel schedule don’t permit.
Pets transported will be able to be secured by seat belt as well as crate. A waiver will be provided for owners to sign.
The idea to offer the service came about after owners Joanne and Frank Nichols came across a similar service offered by a boarding kennel when traveling.
Cost for a trip is $10 each way with the resort asking that bookings where possible be made a day in advance to allow for best-possible scheduling. Depending on need, customers may choose to book trips for one or both ways. In addition to trips back and forth to The Paw, the pet shuttle service will also offer pickup and drop-off of pets to appointments with a vet of choice.
Founded in 2011, The Paw Resort and Wellness Centre offers services that include Pet Boarding, Playcare, Grooming and Training from their location on Grey Road just West of Brandon.
