Now eight months into construction, TD Bank is just four months away from opening its new branch on Brandon’s busy 18th street according to a TD Bank representative on Monday.
A notice was sent to customers on Friday informing of a target date of May 22 for both closure of the existing Rosser Avenue branch and opening of the new location at 1108 18th Street. The same notice contained information to help guide customers through the upcoming transition along with resources to help in the answering of questions.
In a July announcement of the new branch construction, TD said that the change would allow for longer hours and more parking along with a range of financial advisors including TD Wealth, Business Banking and Agricultural Services. It’s expected that existing staff will move into the new building in the spring, after which time there will be opportunity to assess any additional further hiring plans consistent with customer needs.

Construction at the former site of a Shell Gas station was first noted in a May 24, 2019 post almost one year to the day of the targeted May 22, 2020 expected opening.
Late spring figures to be a busy stretch for the immediate area of the new bank, with Holiday Inn Express at last report aiming for an opening by June just down the street.
