Its days like this that one is thankful we have the good folks of Brandon Police Service working to keep our city safe.
Via today’s Police media release, it was learned that BPS officers last night charged three in weapons offences after a traffic stop in North Brandon last night. After pulling over the vehicle of interest on 17th St North at 9:20pm it’s said officers soon noticed a can of pepper spray concealed beneath the feet of a passenger in the back seat. Not long after Police say it was discovered that occupants also had rounds of .22 caliber ammunition as well as a loaded sawed off .22 caliber rifle stored in a backpack. As a result three vehicle occupants have been charged with weapons related offences.
Just over two hours later in a separate traffic stop officers say a vehicle was found to contain a loaded, and said to be previously stolen .45 calibre handgun as well as ammunition and a syringe full of methamphetamine. The driver of the vehicle was arrested and is to appear in court on various charges, as outlined in today’s release.
