Shoppers looking for more choice in locally available apparel and accessories will soon be in luck with news that urban fashion chain Ecko Unltd plans to open a location in the city.
Based on a âComing Soonâ sign in Shoppers Mall, the store will be located in space on the Mallâs main corridor previously occupied by North Shore Outfitters prior to its closure in January.
The retailerâs Facebook page describes it as âa global leader in youth culture. Representing a generation without boundaries, the brand successfully fuses music, design, streetwear, illustration, video games, action sports and more." Though specifics on the Brandon store could not yet be confirmed with the company, the retailerâs website notes a variety of product carried for men and women including denim, tees, outerwear, woven shirts, knit shirts, watches, and hoodies. In addition to carrying Ecko branded clothing, streetwear brands such as Headrush, Cross & Castles, Avirex and Rumblr are carried.
A Shoppers Mall spokesperson has indicated that the new store is expected to open on June 1.
Ecko Unltd lists 28 Canadian locations on its website. Itâs store in Winnipegâs Kildonan Place is currently the only of those outlets listed West of Ontario.
The news of the coming Mall addition will make it three new openings this spring, joining Scorteus Leather in early April and a Western Manitoba Regional Library satellite location in early May.
