Brandonâs PetSmart location opened for business on Monday morning more than eight months after eBrandon first reported of plans for the chain to establish a local store.
Over more than 13,565 square feet the store carries a full line of pet products alongside providing services in the areas of training and grooming for cats and dogs. Also setup at the location are self-serve dog wash stations.
A selection of live pets is carried including small animals, reptiles, birds and fish. The Brandon store does not sell dogs or cats, in stead facilitating adoption of cats, rabbits and dogs in partnership with the Brandon Humane Society. Cats and Rabbits available for adoption will be able to be seen in-store.
Monday is seen as a soft opening, with an official Grand Opening scheduled for Saturday. Saturdayâs proceedings will begin with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9am, followed by a giveaway of a $25 gift card to the first 50 shoppers as well as a chance to win a $250 gift card by entering in-store.
Below are a few pictures I was able to capture on a Monday morning visit to the new store.
PetSmart, located at the site of a former Shoppers Drug Mart at 1350 18th Street, will maintain hours of 9am to 9pm Monday through Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
