Changes of the past month have led to a spike in internet usage, a surge that has given birth to many online and social media trends as folks find ways to pass their time during the temporary era of 'stay at home.'
Courtesy Brandon’s Guardian Fencing, one of those trends has been given a local spin in the form of a ‘Brandon Bingo’ card shared on Friday that gives local folks a chance to show just how Brandonite they are by reflecting on how many traditionally Brandon activities and experiences they’ve come across during their time in the city.
Across 24 tiles are experiences such as “Golfed at the Wheat City Golf Course,” “Had Ice Cream from Velvet Dip” and “Been stuck behind someone going slow down 18th street.” Together the list serves as a great reminder of what lies ahead in the weeks/months/years to follow after we get through this unusual time.
According to folks at Guardian, they put together and shared the card image out of a love for living and working in the community and a want to have some fun while everyone is cooped up. They suggest that folks contribute further ideas of their own, perhaps even leading to a future follow-up edition of the card.
On a quick filling out of the card myself, with a 17/24 score it looks like i'm going to have to prove my worth just a little bit more once we're through this temporary normal!
