Posted by Adam in Dining, 4/29, 6:17 PM

With reduced restaurant accessibility in the city during the present response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brandon Tim Hortons locations are introducing one more way to meet always-high customer demand this week with the addition of delivery service alongside partner SkipTheDishes.

Beginning Thursday morning at 9am, customers will have the ability to via the SkipTheDishes app order from a wide assortment of items on the restaurant’s menu including hot and cold drinks, baked goods, sandwiches, wraps and other food items.

Cost for delivery is $3.99 on orders of at least $5. Delivery becomes free once an order reaches $15.

Tim Hortons maintains five locations in Brandon, though accessibility of offerings has seen change alongside social distancing measures in place during the COVID-19 pandemic including the temporary closure of its Shoppers Mall Brandon food court location. It’s 18th Street South and Trans Canada Highway restaurants remain open 24 hours with Victoria Avenue open save for an overnight closure between 11pm and 4:30am daily. Though dining rooms at each of the latter three are temporarily unavailable, each have been continuing to offer service via drivethru and pickup with drivethrus noticably continuing to be their busy selves in recent weeks.

Delivery will be offered from each of those same three locations, offering customers the opportunity to at their choosing order from the location closest to them.

According to local franchisee Rhonda Pardy, delivery is initially being introduced on a trial basis with the hope to make it a permanent offering in the future. It also carries with it the promise of providing additional hours to staff following temporary dining room closures.

Orders can be placed beginning Thursday morning using the SkipTheDishes app, available for download in respective devices’ app stores.
