St. Augustine Parish is looking for an individual to fill a full-time maintenance position at our Parish. This person should be enthusiastic, physically strong and open minded. Main responsibilities include:
- Cleaning, dusting and vacuuming the Church, Sacristy, washrooms, the Parish hallway, room 108 and square, kitchen (including fridge & stoves), the basement area (i.e. Knights of Columbus Chambers & hallways) and offices (including windows, baseboards, corners). Also, maintaining all entrances to remove any hazards (i.e. snow, ice, debris).
- Emptying garbage, removing recycling and other items when required.
- Setting up (and taking down) tables and chairs for funerals and other events.
- Arranging delivery of pick up of water, cleaning/janitorial supplies, repair & maintenance supplies.
- Inspecting of building & property for any issues needing repairs or maintenance and report them.
- Seasonal duties including mowing & trimming lawn, shrubs/plants at the Rectory and the Church, cleaning any debris on the Church's grounds.
- Seasonal snow cleaning and ice removing.
- Minor repairs and maintenance at the Church, Parish office and Rectory.
- Other duties as assigned.
