Position: Apprentice Carpenters

Keller Developments is seeking motivated Apprentice Carpenters (Levels 1?4) to join our growing construction team. With a strong pipeline of secured projects and guaranteed winter work, this is an opportunity to build your career with a stable, locally owned company.
Successful candidates will work alongside experienced journeymen, foremen, and project managers on residential, commercial, and multi-residential projects. This role focuses on developing hands-on skills while contributing to high-quality construction projects that serve our community.
Requirements
- Registered Carpenter Apprentice (Levels 1?4) or actively pursuing apprenticeship in Carpentry.
- Previous construction experience is considered an asset.
- Experience or exposure to areas such as wood framing, steel stud framing, drywall, finishing carpentry, concrete, flooring, tile work, T-bar ceilings, or pre-fab construction is an asset.
- Sound knowledge of construction practices and safe tool operation appropriate to apprenticeship level.
- Ability to read and interpret basic construction drawings and follow instructions.
- Strong understanding of job site safety practices.
- Physically capable of lifting 50 lbs. and performing manual labor in various weather conditions.
- Valid Class 5 driver?s licence preferred; Class 3 is an asset.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a crew.
- Must supply own hand tools and small power tools (grace period may apply).
- Must supply own steel toe boots, hard hat, and high-visibility PPE.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structural and finishing elements as directed.
- Perform tasks related to framing, drywall, finishing carpentry, concrete, and other general carpentry duties appropriate to skill level.
- Move materials to and from work areas and ensure proper setup of tools and equipment.
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Always follow company safety policies and provincial safety regulations.
- Participate in on-the-job training and apprenticeship learning objectives.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship in accordance with project specifications.
- Assist with site clean-up and organization to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
- Complete assigned tasks within established timelines.
