ATOM-JET INDUSTRIES has been in business since 1962 and is comprised of a machining and advanced manufacturing department, combined with our Agriculture department, which manufactures seeding openers and provides custom brazing solutions to our OEM clients.

We are seeking a qualified professional to join our management team to lead our Quality Department.

Job Summary

The individual will be responsible for all quality-related initiatives within Atom-Jet Industries. The candidate will develop, direct, and implement quality plans, policies, and procedures that align with ISO 9001-2015 while being responsible for managing those standards. The Quality Assurance Supervisor will provide professionalism, organization, and communication skills, overseeing that the quality of products is maintained to a high standard.

 

Job responsibilities and duties:

?       First off inspections and final inspections. Experience with measuring devices (calipers/veneers micrometers) is critical.

?       Report, document, and communicate non-conformances.

?       Work with the entire Atom-Jet Industries team to reduce NCRs, improve quality, and achieve cost reductions.

?       Ensure compliance with procedures and validate processes.

?       Internal audits are scheduled and performed.

?       Accurate receipt of raw material, managing quality communications with vendors.

?       Report to the management team via monthly management review meetings.

?       Calibrate tools and update the system

?       Adhere to ISO 9001-2015 Standards

 

Implement quality strategies:

?       Continual improvement of processes within all departments

?       Improve jigs & fixtures documenting system.

?       Evaluate the progress and performance of the Quality Department, taking necessary actions for improvement.

 

Essential knowledge, skills, and abilities:

?       5 years of experience in a leadership role within a machining/welding environment.

?       Quality Management experience

?       Experience designing, creating, and implementing quality practices and systems.

?       Proficient using precision measuring tools (examples: calipers, micrometers, FARO, etc.)

?       Strong mechanical drawing interpretation skills, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.

?       Efficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

?       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

?       Understanding of welding symbols/drawings
