To get a class 4 to drive a taxi do you need to do a road test?

It can be done in your normal vehicle. You can only get 25 points off in errors instead of 50 with a regular class 5.

Yes you have to take an MPI medical form to a doctor to get filled out. Keep in mind that the doctors form will cost you about $100. If your over a certain age, or have medical issues. MPI may want you to renew the medical form more often. Otherwise you have to renew it every 5 years.  
No written test.  
However I got my class 4 in 2004 rules might have changed since then.

I get a medical every year for my Class 1 drivers and it's only $40.00 from the Dr's office.

Pls pm me on what Dr. will only charge $40 for a class 1 licence. My Dr. charges me $80 and I have to do it yearly.

I've been getting it done for that price for the last 5 years in Shoal Lake.. I've moved over to Neepawa now and don't know what it will cost over here.. I have NEVER paid anywhere near $100. But maybe that's what the busy Dr's charge in Brandon.. Can only tell you what I've paid.

Yes a class one is every 5 years as well UNTIL you get to a certain age.. Then it's EVERY year.

Yep, I believe it''''s the same way with class 2...every 5 UNTIL you get a certain age. Or, unless one has health issues, right?  
 
I haven''''t reached "that" age yet...lol. What is "that" age by the way?  
 
(And you have to admit...there''''s more years between 18 and whatever the age is than after that age. That''''s why I mentioned 5...lol)  
 
But that''s a good idea to make your point too. That way people know.

I'm not really sure about the Health Issues. Whether or not with certain health issues a person would have a class one or 2.. Personally I have no health issues but age alone warrants a yearly medical.  
And yes, I did use that to make a point but was also just stating a fact. (lol)

Just got off of the phone with our local clinic and the Medical here for a drivers license is still $40.00. Guess it's like everything else, a person needs to shop around.

Medical re-examinations  
Under The Drivers and Vehicles Act the Registrar of Motor  
Vehicles requires certain drivers to be medically  
re-examined to determine their fitness and ability  
to drive. All Class 1, 2, 3 and 4 drivers must submit  
a Medical Examination Report form:  
• every five years to age 45  
• every three years to age 64  
• annually at age 65 and over

Yes, basically what I said but the point I'm trying to make right now is - You CAN still get a medical for less than $100.00..( $40.00 here in town) Check around folks, before you pay the 100. cause there are other alternatives.
