If there was ever a year for the Bombers to win it would have been today.

The only thing worse than the Bombers, is the fans. The three previous posts prove it.  
 
I've been living in this province now for 16 years. Some of it in Winnipeg, and even then, you would hear more hatred for the Bombers after a loss, then just the expected disappointment. The only thing the Bombers need, is Riders fans.

have spent years cheering and cheering and always looking at the positive side. were all just sick and tired of not having a competitive team year after year. just getting frustrated not even seeing a competitive team. all bomber fans want is something to cheer for.

The rider fans are coming out of the wood work after a win. Haven't heard from any of you all year until today, but I guess that is just a coincidence....

I hate football. I was commenting about the fans.

if you hate football then why are you commenting about the fans. do you know what it is like to be a fan of a team which has not seen any improvement over the last several years. we keep buying tickets and the gear to support the team but it doesn't get any better so we are all starting to get pissed of.

There isn't a lot of support for the Bombers outside of Winnipeg so it's hard for the rest of the people in Manitoba to become emotionally invested in the team.  
Win or lose, Good year or Bad, Rider fans stick with their team. We bleed green! Hell the whole province of Saskatchewan bleeds green, generation after generation! Attendance at rider home games is high no matter how they play. The sea of green you see at Rider games extends all the way back to every Rumpus room in every small town and every farm house in saskatchewan.  
 
It'll never be about winning or losing for Rider fans, it's about how the team brings it's proud fans together.  
 
Oh Yeah! I forgot to say... There are plenty of Rider fans here in Manitoba and everywhere else in Canada and beyond!

Well said "NUFF SAID". What you say is what I have perceived since I moved here. I don't enjoy football, but FTR "snowman1", Bombers fans can't watch a game and simply be entertained? Food for thought.

And yes, I do understand what it's like to be a fan of a team that hasn't won I. A long time. Watching it right now actually, it's called NASCAR! I was a fan of Dale Earnhardt Sr. Became a fan of Dale Jr.. Dale Jr. Has gotten progressively better over the years but will never be his ol' man. That's fine by me, and he probably won't win tonight. It doesn't matter who finishes first, whether it's Jimmie Johnson, or Kyle Bush. I applaud them all on a job well done, and a great show for all the fans. Re-evaluate your sportsmanship.

the bombers have the second best fan base in the league. just a reminder that they are still averaging more fans the Ottawa, Toronto and Hamilton do. who are all having a good season. 20 plus years off not having a competitive team is starting to get to every bomber fan out there. we all just want to see a competitive team out there. and I still watch the game for the enjoyment. every fan does. That is why we watch. but is it enjoying to you when your team doesn't compete year in and year out. and football is different then nascar. these are to teams competing for a win. not 20 teams competing. completely different.

Not different snowman1. Are you familiar with the chase format? I guess not. The NASCAR champ is a 4 car shoot out at the last race in Miami. Yes, it's not two teams, but honestly a 2 car shoot out in NASCAR for the championship would be more boring than a 4 car. Oh, and congratulations Carl Edwards, never seen that coming tonight at all! Great show, several records broken this evening including the longest race at this track, and the most cautions! What a night!

that is a bunch a people competing to win. not two teams. would you say golf is the same. two teams competing is way different. and all bomber fans are saying is there tired of not having a competitive team. were as in nascar there a 20 people all trying to come in first. and no I am not familiar. don't pay attention. but I bet there are a lot of nascar fans who are just as negative as us bomber fans are.

Yeah, you're right, in the CFL there are 9 teams trying to come in first for the whole year. That changes everything lol. In NASCAR there are 40 plus teams trying to come in first for the whole year.

Well the Bombers did win their first game of the season over the Riders. This game was the Riders turn. They had to get a win sometime. The Riders have had a few weeks with the same QB at the helm, and they are starting to gel. Not so much for the Bombers, we haven't had that consistency yet. It'll happen, maybe not this season but it will again.  
And no the Bombers don't need fans like "rider fans", cause they already have them. Every team (riders included), have fair weather fans, as well as loyal fans. I'm a Bomber girl, thru and thru win or lose. Have never jumped ship in over 40yrs, and know many of the same as me.  
We have a lot of work ahead of us, as do the Riders. Even though we are having another losing season, I managed to drop over $300 on more Bomber merch today, even after that loss, we don't give up!  
And I live in Bdn, and know of many other fans like me, OUTSIDE OF WPG!  
Yes there are a lot of Rider fans, but there are also many fans of other teams out there!  
Hope the Banjo bowl is more in our favor, but if it isn't there is always next year. Go Blue!!!

but every nascar race has how many people trying to win. football has to teams trying to complete to win a game. you don't see nine teams on a field competing. and all I am saying is that after 20 years of watching a team that is not competitive fans are all getting relentless and pissed of. this is why you are seeing comments like these ones. they just want to see a team compete. and if a nascar driver does not compete. and is also doing bad does he keep getting a chance to drive or do they find a replacement.

The Bombers have had plenty of competitive teams in the last 20 years. They were in the Grey Cup in 2011 and 2007, and have been in the playoffs several times in the last 20. I am not a Bomber fan (go Riders!), but to try and blame the fickleness of some Bomber fans on the team not having good seasons is disingenuous.  
 
As a Rider fan I've been loyal through a lot of lean seasons, if you are really a fan of the team, you'll be a fan win or lose. I took a lot of crap about 'owen' this season, but I still put on my Rider gear and cheered my team on in their losses.

2007 was 1 of a couple of competitive years. 2011 was just flat luck. I don't want to believe that but I do. they were 7 and 1 and then went 3 and 7 and got lucky. I also were my bomber gear with pride. every game I watch and chear.

Being a Bomber fan really hurts right now. If there was a year to win Labour Day this was it! I get pretty sick of seeing them self destruct every week but they need our support more than ever!!

But man those a ask guys are crazy fans. Bomber fans have nothing on them. We drove buy a couple houses on a block in Regina and they had there two from yards completely redone as a mini football stadium. green everything. Had like 12 little kids playing in the front. Was amazing to see we sat and watched for five minutes . Even Saturday before game day Regina was painted green. Many houses even had inflatable rider decorations that you would see for helloween or Christmas or somthing like that. Rider fans are the best
