Drove by this afternoon and both the shop and used vehicles buildings are on flat beds awaiting transport. Anybody know what's going on? Does this have anything to do with the eventual 18th Street bridge expansion?

Precision is building a brand new building. Those old ones are going to a new home tonight/tomorrow morning. They got rid of those to have room to build new. They are not relocating and nothing to do with the bridge to my knowledge.

They’re building a new dealership on the site of the current one.

There has been a giant sign on a sea can in the parking lot announcing the new building for about 4 months

Only half of the building is being moved. Their current sales office should remain intact while the construction on their new building is taking place.  
 
But who knows where this building they are moving is going to sit.

The building is being moved somewhere on Grand Valley Road according to one of the above articles.

Is there any footage on your Camera on 18th Street of the move?

Looked like one of the buildings slid off the semi? Grand valley was blocked by police and whatnot this am??

There won’t be video but I’ll check the archive of still images. Anyone have a rough idea what time I’d be looking at?

I went to Wal Mart at 7:00 this morning. The building had fallen off between the bridge and Grand Valley road. You could not go south on 18th Street. Constructions workers all over, police, hydro was out on Grand Valley road.

Looking at the Instagram posts this AM it started around 0430

I am sure it was moved in two sections actually & the police were out because they require permits to move the buildings and the "construction workers" were flaggers and Minty's staff.

Ya when I drove by it was the 2 pieces of the building being moved but one was on a wicked angle on the truck and looked like it had fell off. Everything was at a standstill from what I saw at 9am

Glad you mentioned that NOYB, I was able to pull a few images from the archive. Asterisk being that shots at night before there was decent daylight are iffy, and it was far enough away that it isn't as perfectly clear as one would like... but its plenty to get an idea of how they did it from 7:15AM onward at least. A bit of a time-lapse video is embedded below. Here's my account based on the pics of two separate sections of the building that were moved and the time stamps that were on the images:  
 
At 7:16AM you can see the first of two sections coming North on the 18th st bridge in what would typically be the Southbound lane (traffic of course directed accordingly).  
 
By 7:46AM that first section had cleared the bridge  
 
At about 7:53AM you can see the second section starting to come North on 18th toward the bridge  
 
By 8:11AM that first section was taken and left stationary about I'm going to guess the equivalent of a city block West down Grand Valley road  
 
By 8:46AM the second section clears the bridge  
 
At about 8:50AM traffic looks like it was opened up again on the Southbound lane of 18th st  
 
At 8:51AM the second section has met up with the first section on Grand Valley Road  
 
At 8:57AM both sections are towed West down Grand Valley road out of the frame of the camera.... never to be seen again

everything was stopped and there was a lot of workers underneath the bldg. Looked pretty scary to me, to have them under it working.  
 
But you would know more than me about it.
