I'm in winnipeg for business once or twice a week, and have been back and forth between the two cities regularly for over a decade. Up until about a year and a half ago Brandon was religiously 3-5 cents more than Winnipeg. For most of the past year we've been less than winnipeg, at many times 10-20 cents a liter less. There was a two month period in the summer where we were pretty much always 20 cents less than most of winnipeg, which makes ZERO sense. Where were all these boo birds being excited about this shift? Being two hours from a major city, I expect to pay more in fuel, amongst other commodities.
