Are yard sales allowed?

No announcement yet likely not until gatherings increase. Most likely July

That was asked at a recent press conference. Technically you can, but you must follow the rules of only 5 people from 2 households which I think would be hard to monitor. Overall, it would be best not to, as this is kind of looking for loopholes and not abiding to the "spirit of the orders".

….. not really fair and kind of a slap in the face to other areas of businesses and services that cannot open yet.  
I think salons, barbers, esthetician's, and tattoo artists, etc should be able to open as well then. Most were practising better Covid protocols and sanitizing than many big box stores and probably better than a strangers yard sale.  
Nothing against yard sales, but these other businesses and services that are still closed should be able to open too.

I think yard sales are safer then a hair stylist or tattoo guy that is breathing down my neck for half an hour to two hours.

I apologize but I didn’t mean for my question to be a slap in the face. Just a regular family looking to get rid of a bunch of stuff - is there a rule that people who are hairstylists and tattoo artists aren’t allowed to have a yard sales?

Bit of a misunderstanding all around. I guess what I’m saying is the rules are kind of all willy-nilly, that people who’s current way of making a living , they’re not allowed to do so under the current restrictions, but according to the vague rules : someone can have a yard sale, and that supposedly is less riskier than going to say get your haircut? I’m not personally attacking anyone, it’s just my opinion.  
Just frustrating: you can sell your used stuff outside to strangers, but cant get a haircut outside from your barber or stylist.

but you can get a massage but not a hair cut. somebody touching and breathing over your whole body for a hour. Just doesn't make sense
