I was wondering if there were any parking bylaws in brandon. i live on the hill, in an apartment and the company requires everyone to pay $60 per spot to park (even w/o a plug in) and we have four vehicles. There is no street parking on our block. it is all a designated no parking zone. They stated that even though there is plenty of empty spots that are not designated (does not say an apartment number) , we will get towed. We are hesitant to park on the next block because last time we did, one of our cars got spray-painted and also it runs the risk of being towed for being parked over 48hrs. Is there any legality issue about not being able to park any vehicle in the vicinity of our home? Are apartments justified to charge so much to park a vehicle at our home?

Maybe look to see if anyone has a garage to rent in the neighbourhood, or find out if anyone in your building has no vehicle, but will rent you the spot.

I live nearby and I know what you mean, I wash in shock when I found out that on top of the high rent I was supposed to pay for parking as well, also its not like we have access to a garage or anything like that its just a public parking lot its incredible and even the electricity used in the plugs are charged to your apartment's hydro bill can you believe it??!! :S but anyway my building offers extra parking for people with multiple vehicles but obviously they charge extra for them, maybe your building has the same, have you asked them?
