Just my opinion

My ideas and they could be wrong, but when it comes to animals or pets many decisions are made because of financial reasons, we see all sorts of discussions about everything when it comes to pets, and far to often I read the thought that if you can't afford a pet then you shouldn't have one, and this thought leads to discussion of even proper feeding of pets, or the proper way to winter your pet, and most of it leads to people being very judgemental. I have heard people say that their pet is part of the family, and yet when faced with costs of maintaining the life or health of their pet they decide it is best to put the pet down. Like said in some of the other posts, no one knows what circumstance bring animals and people together, a person may be able to save the life of an animal and feed it and yet the cost of getting the pet fixed may be beyond the persons means, so would it have been better to not save the animal in the first place.
One thing I have learned from trying to save animals is that playing God is a very difficult thing to do, and no matter how hard you try you can't save them all, which means some will have to die, but a sobering fact is that where there is life, there is also death, and that applies to not only animals but humans as well.
This might be off topic but, look around the world, every day 20,000 children die, or 3.1 million children under the age of five die every year, so when one insults other about being cheap or lazy or anything else, ask yourself what you are doing about this problem.
I live with the idea that every person is an individual, and most people do the best that they can, but I also live with the understanding that where there is life there is death, and if I have a concern I should do what I can to help.
I have watched quite a few programs lately where some vet clinics do their best to make fixing animals affordable, if not free.
Every time something like this comes up,people seem to see only one problem, whereas I see two.
