Obviously he was in a hurry to go somewhere. Even after you made your turn he disappeared quickly.

The Law is the law. If he doesn't have his lights on, he shouldn't be carelessly going through 3-ways.

Did you report your near hit to the Brandon Police first before posting on eBrandon?

Are you sure it is a 3 way? Could not see stop signs on your video. Going from a stop you should have seen cop.

I live very close to it. It's a very obvious 3-way and the sign is very clearly marked. The sign leading up to the intersection in the video even displays "3-way".

I was driving down 18th street right - just crossed the tracks. I was in the far left lane going south (at night) and a car turns into 18th street from Brandon avenue (beside forbidden flavours) but instead of turning onto 18th street past the meridian into the proper lane. The vehicle turned into my lane and came straight for me. I had a car to the right of me and the vehicle sped up cut in front of both of us and turned into home hardwear parking lot. That's when I noticed it was an unmarked police car. Scared the crap out of me cuz he cut it pretty close and it's never a good thing to see a vehicle coming straight for you the wrong way down a street. He didn't even have his red/white/blue lights flashing. Hugely careless driving! If anyone else pulled that crap they would have been pulled over - but it's ok for a cop to do it!

Since you have dashcam footage, just go down to the police station and file a report. They should be able to identify the officer and will deal with him or her.

It is a 3 Way Stop, I hardly think the person would have uploaded the video knowing she was wrong...

Nice comments from all you people that were given traffic tickets and it's the cops fault because YOU broke the law. Lights and sirens aren't used to show do-good citizens that police are responding to a call. They are used to warn drivers to pull over and/or be cautious. In this case I'd say the officer was responding to a silent residential alarm and the use of lights a sirens would do nothing more than scare bad guys away and bring on rubber neckers.  
I'd also say from looking at the video that the OP stopped at the 3 way stop sign but didn't look down the roadway (or else they would have seen the police car speeding towards them) and pulled forward. I'd also say the officer had lights on but put them out just before coming into video range.  
Personally, I support my boys in blue 100%. I want those guys and girls out there and if the alarm sounds at my house, I want them there as quickly as possible.

It's the Geko E100 dash cam. I got it during black Friday from BestBuy for $50. I'm pretty happy with it.

It doesn't matter what the call was. The lights are OFF. A stop sign is there for a reason and everyone is to follow the same laws. There's a cross walk there too. What happens when a cops mows everyone down at the crosswalk? You'll support that too?

But the officer still has to slow down and make sure the intersection is clear before proceding through the stop sign/intersection. If the officer and the car collided then the officer wouldn't of been able to attend the call and that would of delayed response times and cause more problems. Plus how is the other drivers suppose to know what the officer is doing? The officer was in the wrong.

Not to mention, There's a Children's park right there, kids are constantly crossing that crosswalk, and they aren't typically going to have the same awareness to their surroundings as an adult will

I've seen Brandon cops with their lights and sirens going, take more procautions at intersections than this cop. The cop in the video likely wasn't paying attention or had tunnel vision or something. And that's very dangerous.

....quality than my dash cam, I have a gopro and would love to mount it in my car, I use it riding my horse because of neighbors speeding by me and not moving over or slowing down.......

you seen the cop vehicle coming at a faster rate than normal but you were a good enough driver to know to keep the heck out of their way

we all make mistakes at work but we should all be called on them.  
 
Lights and sirens are on cop cars for a reason and not just to ask you to stop for them, they also act as a safety measure in order to alert other drivers that they need the right of way so that they can do what they need to while keeping the public safe.  
 
emergency drivers also have the duty, whether lights are on or not, to proceed only when the intersection is safe, since the op was at a 3 way stop they are in their right to expect the other driver approaching to follow the rules of the road (in fact if they hesitated to much in a drivers test, they would be marked for it)therefor the cop, following protocol, should have ensured the intersection was safe before proceeding, i didnt see much of a slow down even so I dont believe that happened and believe the op should bring it to the attention of BPS so that they make sure their officers are acting safely and presenting a good public image. then forgive the officer, everyone make mistakes

Well This is why i have a Dash cam. Because if he HAD hit me, although I have a clean driving record, it would have been the cops word against mine.

Thee Young Man, and Traveller, couldn't agree with you guys more. Public safety is the number one priority, I mean that's what these guys are all about, keeping Brandon safe. I just think that it's possible he had the emergency lights on. When he saw shakenbake stop he turned the lights out not expecting them to just look at the first 10' of the intersection and pull out. I just don't judge until all the facts are in.
