Does your spouse stand up for you??

Just wondering does your spouse stand up for you?
I'm asking because tonight my husbands dad left a message on his voice mail calling me names because <:We got mail for his dad in the mail, and I put it in the outbox for the mail person to pick up.(The father has not lived here for almost 2 years) In any case all the mail should have been changed by now.
So my question is...does your spouse stand up for you? Or does he or she let the family member continue to call you names etc.? PM me if you want
