September 20 to 26 is National Unmarried and Singles Week. Glamour.com's dating blog "Single-ish" reports that National Singles Week was started by a singles council back in the '80s to "celebrate single life and recognize singles and their contributions to society."
Nearly 70% of women say the freedom to "do my own thing" and the ability to "flirt with anyone, anytime" are the best things about being single.
Oddly enough, nearly HALF of men say that none of the benefits of being single outweigh their desire to find someone special.
