Army Love Possible?

So I've been dating this guy for a few months already. Things are going great between us. I feel like we really connect and I'm really comfortable around him...
Thing is, he is in the army and im not yet sure on how to feel about that, I know most jobs shouldn't matter when it comes to relationship but i believe this one is a different story. My feelings for him would never change but the fact that he is in the army worries me...I'm a position person and believe anything i s possible but since i started seeing this guy alot of my friends and even some of my family are questioning whether or not i should be still involved.
my question:
Advice from women or men involved with someone in the army would be amazing..
what has your experience been like? Has it worked out? How hard was it?
