Relationship Question

What happens when you are with someone for a long time and there are a few of their friends that are rude or try to pry into your business?
I have a buddy that is going through this - loves the person but not those few immature friends that are snoopy and rude. Told my friend that they two should go to counselling together but does any one else have any thoughts to share? There relationship is quite strong otherwise but I think these immature friends are not of help.
