I am divorced over a year and a half now. I have weekend visitations with my children on weekends and travel out of town to pick them up and drop them off. Before the seperation, i had my license suspended and was ordered at the time of the the custody hearing that i was responsible for all transportation to see my kids unless otherwise agreed upon by my ex. To this day she has refused to share in the transportation and had actually moved out of town without my knowing about it, basically stealing my kids away from me and making it more difficult to see them. I am currently working with my attorney to change the order in court and hope the judge will sympathize with my situation as it's so expensive to have to pay gas both ways and have to rely on others to get me there. My question for all of you is this: Do you think i stand a chance in getting a judge to change the order to shared transportation? The ex was pregnant at the time and was unable to drive. Any feedback? I don't think it's fair that i should have to drive both ways 4 times a month.
