Is this such a big deal to you if people start discutions like this ? If you don't like them don't read them simple as that .

Some wife or husband reading that of the person spoken of could cause a lot of problems or some poor person it sounds like gets everyone on his or her back. I see the point of the person posting this.

I actually agree with OP, I was thinking about this yesterday, but it seems like there's more and more of these "To the ______ I spotted across from me at ________." Which are essentially missed connections. Personally I find them silly and I try to avoid them, but half the time they're titled in a way that almost resembles click bait so it's not always so easy to just ignore.  
Now obviously they don't break any site rules because Adam leaves them up, however maybe Adam can if he so chooses make them invisible for those of us who don't want to see two or three of these threads pop up every other day?  
Kinda like wishes and the plug board. Best of both worlds that way.

If we are going to eliminate the people wanting dates can we also get rid of the "To the red car on Richmond today at 3 o'clock" ones as well???

Also would be fine with those being hidden. Those things to me aren't what a forum is supposed to be about, most of these topics are supposed to be general discussion in a related topic like relationships or brandon itself.  
I don't see the "I seen you at_____ at _____." as anything more than a personal promotion. in fact if you check the rules out things like charities have to advertise on the plug board. Maybe that would be a good place for missed connections as well.  
AS for the "Red car on _______ at ______." Those read like attacks on a single person by another person and again something that the broad audience at large doesn't really need to be aware of and I for one would be happy not having to sift through anymore. Just my opinion anyways.

Id like to them to quit these silly to the person in the what ever color car that cut me of or gave me the finger threads, like the person is ever going to read it or care, if they do.  
For some reason these missed connection threads seem to intrigue some people, I don't find it interesting at all, but let it be.

Personally, I think it's great! I love to follow those posts, and if it gets into something I don't want to read, then I stop. I have to thank Adam for those posts, it was because of one of them that I met my significant other. I can guarantee that without the post similar to the ones being mentioned above, we never would have met! Thank you Adam and all the best to those posting and meeting. If it worked for me, it can work for you!!

The OP is an excellent example of the passion for discussion that we're so fortunate to have, though that passion has to be balanced with recognition of the fact that eBrandon is so many different things to so many different people and no two of those people are the same. I can pretty much guarantee you that you can divide up every thread started this week and each one will have a reason one someone thinks its something that shouldn't be discussed.  
 
These types of threads do pop up from time to time and interest a lot of folks. They're a welcome part of the diversity of the forums and have never been at a point where they effect the overall balance of the site. Because it isn't in line with your particular interests you might be surprised to learn that the "you were at Boston Pizza" thread was the most-viewed thread of the past week with over 9000 views. The title of these threads should make it pretty clear what they're about. If you arent interested in that type of thread, please check out another discussion that is consistent with your interests so that those who are interested can check it out and take part.  
 
With that in mind, this is a great opportunity to remind that if you ever see a thread title that you feel is not descriptive of the discussion, please drop me a note so that I can take a look and update it to ensure that folks know what its about before clicking. And of course if you ever notice a post that you feel might actually be outside of the rules please don't hesitate to report it using the "report this" link that's next to every post on the site.
