Free Spirit

My wife and I bought a 2006 LTV Free Spirit LSS in 2015. Used it on weekends around manitoba and NW Ontario. In the fall of 2016 we left with our 3 m/o son and our 65lb husky and spent 8 weeks and travelled to the west coast of BC then drove the coast south to LA. Returned home for Xmas and some Dr's appts then headed to Baja Mexico for 8 weeks in it. In total we put 22k miles on it in a little over 2 years and sold it last fall. At one point our son had lived half his life in that thing. We've camped in it in -20c (with the water system winterized).
The only time it let us down was just outside LA, where the turbo resonator split open. Limped it to the Mercedes dealership picked up the part, drove around the corner and installed it myself in downtown LA.
As far as space they're a little cramped but it's all what you're used to, we went from a tent to a class B so that was a huge upgrade. If you own a 45ft fifth wheel or a Class A then, yes it's gonna seem small.
The sprinter chassis drives like any other car and width wise will fit in any standard parking spot. A little tough to handle in a strong crosswind due to its height, but with a set of winter tires that thing would go through as much snow as you could throw at it. We always made sure we had what we needed before arriving at our camp spot for the night and never felt the need for a Toad.
