Hadn't heard about this, could you elaborate on what you've read?

We are thinking about becoming snowbirds. maybe Arizona Nevada or California...we have a pull behind camper...any info about when to go (due to road conditions) where to get a site etc..how long is the average snowbird down south before they come home...thanks

I wonder if it's maybe the American government thinking they can tax Canadians if they are in the states too long. That they would consider them to be residents for the purpose of income tax.

With all the nonsense going on down south of the border, why not go farther? Mexico, Jamaica etc seem to be a much nicer choice, and the dollar goes farther as well.

There is s limit on so many times which will not allow you to get Manitoba health care and other stuff.  
 
Plus states could charge you income tax.  
 
And keep in mind a day is counted even if you cross over for a supper in the states. That goes against what you are allowed.  
 
Important to be aware of all laws, restrictions and regulations.  
 
And buy extra medical insurance.  
 
Many get a us cellphone as it is cheaper than using your Canadian one.

Laughlin Nevada/ Bullhead City Arizona are great places to go. There is a mini casino strip in Laughlin. Bullhead has a couple nice campgrounds.  
 
Lake Havasu Arizona is also a popular snow bird destination.
