I see the weigh scales at 2 & 10 are still not open. It is over 2 years now since they started working there. Unbelievable! Is this incompetence in getting the work done, laziness in working, or greed to drag this on as long as possible to make as much money as possible doing the work?

I don’t think anyone really wants it open and it’s in a bad location. Not the best idea having big trucks slow down on number 10 to pull in only to pull back out and cross a lane of traffic and slowly gear up again.

Bad spot? I think its a good spot, I can remember it being open as far back as the late 70s and I don't recall any traffic problems or accidents at that intersection. How is it any different then that one out by Alexander or Headingley, both have trucks pulling back out on the Trans Canada and gearing up which is a lot more congested then highway 10. With that said I will agree that I don't think too many people are concerned its not open, myself included, likely saved me a few dollars (not that I intentionally break the law but loading off a field is not always the easiest). And I suspect that it has more to do with the Government being broke. If I remember correctly all the action there slowed down once Pallister got elected and he started making cuts. And judging by some of stuff I've seen happening there when I drive by no one is getting rich, in fact if its Government they are probably nickel and diming every contractor to get the lowest bid as possible. At least that's how it used to be.

Havent had a close look, is the scale setup to accept traffic from both directions eg traffic coming off of #10 and traffic moving east on #2? Or I'd it gonna be one of those can only get traffic going in a certain direction at a time?  
 
I can see it causing an issue with #2 going east as there isnt much/if a pull off lane so cars may be in for a surprise rounding corners. Also trucks coming off #10 entering scale will have to stop middle of #2 hwy to enter scale depending on traffic flow that point of day.
