I was thinking of booking a flight with Flair Air a discount airline . Have only read negative reviews from trip advisor and other sites online . Now usually you’ll have a few negative and some positive reviews but when most of them are negative it makes me wonder. Has anyone in the local area had experiences with this airline ? Want to fly from Wpg to Clearwater Fla.

So I’ve watched the video above before booking my flight for my trip, I can tell you better once I’ve actually been on it but a few of my friends have been with the airline and say it’s by far the cheapest to fly domestically! All airlines charge a fee for baggage and theirs is actually quite reasonably priced is what I’ve noticed, they do charge a bit more for carry ons vs. checked bags, super weird but if I remember I’ll tell you about my experience

I would encourage you to read Trip Adviser reviews. My experience with Flair was in align with the negative reviews posted on Trip Adviser. I experienced a series of delays and miscommunications that left me feeling stranded. My direct flight from Mesa to Winnipeg ended up being cancelled and I was flown to Edmonton to catch a connecting flight to Winnipeg. When I arrived in Edmonton our connecting flight had already left. From that point things got really challenging. I was left in Edmonton with little information and the information I was given was not adding up. I tried calling their "call center" which is closed from 9:00 pm till 7:00 pm. With no one to clarify my circumstances I, along with many other stranded passengers, decided to book a flight with WestJet. If you book with Flair, do your research. Know what you are getting into. They offer cheap airfares but it comes with some risk. Again, I encourage you to read some reviews on Trip Adviser. It will help you make an informed decision.

We had a good experience flying to Florida with them. Flight was on time and undersold - lots of empty seats. Definitely a discount airline. We chose them mainly for the direct flight, not the cost, and the convenience of flying direct was well worth the lack of service.

DPMO2 said read Trip Advisor reviews on this airline. I did exactly that and see that most reviews are pretty much in align with what you experienced. Out of 8 reviews 6 were negative so maybe I’ll book with someone else.

At the end of the month, I am flying with Flair Winnipeg to Abbotsford and while I did read some of the negative reviews, there is just as many with other higher priced airlines. To save you money, book everything- including all of your luggage online & check-in online prior to being at the airport. You can do this up to 24-hours prior. Because it's a "discount airline" I'm not expecting anything fancy- just get me from point A to B. Hope this helps a little with your decision.

Posted this thread in early Feb. some people were about to fly with this airline and was wondering how their experience went. I flew with another discount airline Swoop and was very pleased with it although it was only from Winnipeg to Hamilton direct. Never seen so many negative reviews for an airline before as I have with Flair. Too bad the prices are definitely a deal but I guess the rest of it is not.

Wow Skinny Moon, From Spain to Florida to Laughlin to Puerto Morales you are quite the world traveller! Have you ever considered writing a blog on all your adventures and the great deals you end up finding?

I have been to a lot of places but there are so many more to see and less time to see them every year. I usually pick 4 or 5 options every year and end up on settling only on one. Lots of research and lots of questions from people on this site and others usually make for a great vacation. Forums and blogs from other people who have been there done that are all really helpful.

My husband and I have flown with Flair from Winnipeg to Edmonton round trip and had no issues.  
 
We have also used allegiant many times from minot to las vegas and mesa and have had no issues to date.  
 
I have heard many people say they won't fly with these "discount" airlines, but so far all we have had was good experiences.

I too have had no issues with Allegiant Air or Swoop Air. I have just never seen so many negative reviews for Flair Air. Good to know some local people have some positive experiences.

They have just announced cancelling routes to Miami, Clearwater and Palm Springs effective Feb 28th. If you have flights booked call to check if it’s cancelled and make other arrangements if needed. We had flights in March and April cancelled when we called to check!
