Adam's lake swimming

Hello, just wondering if anyone has been to Adam's lake recently and if the water at the beach is swimmable or if its green with algae.

Also wondering if there are spots for shore fishing.

I was there a couple of weekends ago. I did not go into the water, but there were lots of people swimming in it. I think they were fishing off the damn just to south of the beach area.

No algae, wasn't green when we were there a few weeks ago,and no leeches either. The beach was surprisingly cleaner than years previous .

It’s always good to check the advisories before you swim, just like you’d check the roads before a trip in the winter.

The water was clear, a tiny bit of algae right at the beach. Sand on the beach was raked and the beach was completely empty except for a family of geese out for a swim.

There are an insane amount of leeches at Adam lake if you plan on swimming. My girls weren’t bothered by them but they definitely got a lot. Also tiny fresh water shrimp bugs that get on you and in your suit. We were there around the 3rd.
