Minot or Grand Forks?

I'm planning a trip to North Dakota for sometime this summer. I am wondering if we should go to Minot or Grand Forks. What kinds of entertainment have people enjoyed? How about shopping experiences? Which hotels/bed and breakfasts can you recommend? Thanks in advance!
