Renting a Car question***

I have to take an emergency trip out to Saskatoon sk, I need a reliable vehicle to get me there and back. I do not really know how the rent a cars work is it 200 km free then 14-18 cents per km on top of the cost daily???? If so that can be very expensive is there a cheaper place besides budget or enterprise where i can rent a vehicle??
