Beware of Winnipeg hotel parking lots

If you are going to Wpg, empty everything out of your car!!
Just returned from a short stay in downtown Wpg. Long story short, we noticed freshly smashed car windows in 3 different spots on our hotel's parkade level. Just to be safe we moved our car to the well lit surface lot that had no glass on the asphalt.
In the morning we found 3 more cars had broken windows including one that was right beside ours.
An employee at the Holiday Inn Downtown said they think the same person has been hitting several of the hotel lots, they also suggested it had been happening for some time.
Add talking to a couple of drunks and the 4 dollar an hour parking, what a treat it was in Downtown Wpg.
