I need a few ideas

I am traveling back to Brandon and just looking for suggestions. I am thinking about skipping Maine as it only adds about 50kms to my trip but might speed it up because of all the little towns there. I already have an sample trip planned on Streets and Trips. Looking for suggested stopping points for sleep.

-dont worry about the Ferry I know that part better than most anyone one this board I feel (been on that boat three time with unique/difficult experiences every time)
Criteria:
- No over night in Ottawa (WAY TOO EXPENSIVE)
- No driving through Chicago (I want to make it back alive)
- No bush waking (only have a Ford escort)
- Driving time must not be longer than 1000km/day
- No consecutive 900km+days
- easy hi-way/Interstate access if stop happens in USA
and away you go
